Hello and welcome to our latest blog and new website. I hope you like the makeover that we’ve had on the website and there are still more changes to come including a new online shop.

We are busy preparing here for a rather chaotic August. We head to the Lakes Chilli Festival on the first weekend of the month and then on the third weekend we are off to the East Midlands Festival.

Please see our events page for the dates and places of where we will be over the coming months.

TV appearance

If any of you are fans of Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch you might have noticed that the guest chef today was well known Scottish Chef Mark Greenaway. You may also have noticed that he was promoting Scottish Produce and we were chuffed to bits when we got a phone call last Wednesday asking us if we would supply our home grown chillies. This was not an easy task as we have very few chillies currently though hundreds of flowers on the plants. However I managed to raid the tunnel and any chillies that we did have were picked and posted special delivery in time to be used on the show. I don’t know about you but I am dying to try those fab dishes that he had on the show, especially the chilli chocolate mousse.

You can catch the complete episode of the Channel 4 Sunday Brunch on 4OD (Mark's section starts 50 minutes in). The show aired on 27 July 2014 and will be available online for 30 days.

New seasonal product

Oh and before I sign off, you will be pleased to hear that Chilli Raspberry is finally back in stock. A firm favourite of our customers, the first batch that was made sold out in a few days. But don’t worry we will be making this every chance we get while the raspberries are in season.
