A rich, sumptuous fruit cake made with our Chilli Chocolate mincemeat.
Galloway Chilli Chocolate Mincemeat Fruit Cake
Ingredients
- 8oz (225g) self raising flour
- 1 jar of Chilli Chocolate mincemeat made up to 12oz (340g) with dried fruit mix (including citrus)
- 4oz (110g) margarine
- 1 beaten egg
- ¼ pint (140ml) water
- 4oz (110g) sugar
Method
- Put fruit/mincemeat mix, sugar ,margarine,and water in pan and simmer together (I did it in microwave on low heat)
- Cool and mix in the egg and flour
- Put into greased lined 6" tin (I used a 12" tin -- less height in the cake)
- Bake in a moderate oven at 170°C for about hour and half ( I cooked it for hour in fan oven)
