Chilli Mustard Burger

Chilli Mustard Burger

  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Galloway Chillies 'Dead' Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small onion, finely grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 lb minced beef

Place a pan with a little oil or a griddle pan on the hob.

Meanwhile whisk the egg in a bowl before adding the mustard, worcestershire sauce, onion, garlic, salt and pepper.

Add the beef to the mix and either use your hands or a fork to gently mix together.

Try to handle the meat as little as possible as the more you work it, the tougher it gets.

Gently shape the mixture into burgers, roughly about ¾ inch thick.

Turn your pan up to full heat and place the burgers in it. Turn once, about 6 – 8 minutes per side, checking that they are no longer pink inside.

Place in a warm crusty bun, with your favourite toppings and why not add some more mustard.
