Happy Monday folks and happy December. Yes who can believe it -- the 1st of December already and not long at all till we eat too much, have some time off work (for most of us) and celebrate the festive season.

However we are not even thinking about that as it's today that's more special to us.

I can't believe it is actually happening -- Galloway Chillies will be at Borough Market, London, between 27th and 29th November 2014.

After months in the planning stages, and a momentous amount of hard work, the time has come and we are excited to share our news.

We are very excited to introduce a brand new product to the Galloway Chilli range.

Today we announce Chilli Citrus Hebridean Sea Salt

Christmas is once again fast approaching and here at Galloway Chillies we make great use of our chilli products over the festive period.  We love hearing how our customers are using our range.

How about a Christmas gift set of Galloway Chilli products to introduce a friend to our delights? Perhaps someone is already a big fan and needs a little more chilli in their life?

Early in 2014 we were approached by one of our regular customers with an interesting proposition.

She is a writer and illustrator and thought it would be a great idea to develop a children's character based on a chilli.  We immediately loved the idea and so the journey began.

The carving of vegetables has been around for thousands of years. The current trend is to carve out a pumpkin and create ghoulish shapes for Halloween.

All great fun, but let's not waste the orange innards of this underrated vegetable.

Here at Galloway Chillies HQ we have a spicy Pumpkin Soup to keep you warm.

The Selkirk Arms Hotel in Kirkcudbright are passionate about the quality of their ingredients. The Winter 2014 menu has further reinforced this with the inclusion of Local Food Heroes.

I was delighted to learn that Galloway Chillies are one of a handful of their heroes.

I was delighted to learn today that I have been shortlisted in the 'Food & Drink' category for the  Dumfries & Galloway Life People of the year Awards 2014.

Remember when your grand-mother used to tell you to drink honey and lemon for coughs and colds, well it appears she was right.

The official word from Doctors and the NHS is that cough medicines are no better than home remedies.

Hello and welcome to our latest blog and new website. I hope you like the makeover that we’ve had on the website and there are still more changes to come including a new online shop.

We are busy preparing here for a rather chaotic August. We head to the Lakes Chilli Festival on the first weekend of the month and then on the third weekend we are off to the East Midlands Festival.

Hello and welcome to our latest (very late) blog. So much for blogging monthly , so I promise not to make any more promises on the frequency of our blogs!

The Chilli Babies have grown up quite a bit and could probably be more aptly titled Chilli Teenagers at present. We have just over 60 varieties this year including one Carolina Reaper which I'm pleased to say is now covered in chilli flowers.

Hello and welcome to not only our latest blog but also to our new e-commerce website. I know that it is a bit late but I wanted to wait until the new website was launched before adding the latest blog to the site.

Evening. My plan to write a weekly blog is not going according to plan so I’ve therefore made the decision to try fortnightly and hope I can stick to that.

Indeed, where to begin as it has been a crazy ten days hence why I forgot all about my blog last Thursday.

I’ll start with the middle of last week when I went to check on the chilli seedlings and could not believe the amount of chilli babies that had appeared overnight. This might not be a problem you say, but it was to me as I hadn’t prepared the area where they were going once emerged. Frantic few hours then ensued but thankfully all is well now as you can see

ChilliHour 20 January 2014 – First of hopefully many once a month chilli hours

Hello, Happy New Year and welcome to my first blog of 2014. I hope you all had a great time over the festive season. I can’t believe we are nearly half way through January already.

Hello. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year. We had a very relaxing Christmas and were very proud that all our food and drink consumed on the day came from Dumfries and Galloway or Ayrshire.

Good evening everyone. Firstly I think I owe you all an apology as it has been far too long since I last blogged. I hope you’ve all had a great summer and looking forward to the festive season.

Ever since I launched Galloway Chillies I’ve been trying to make the labelling of the range of jars easier. I have spent hours e-mailing companies to get quotes but with abrupt responses and expensive quotes.

I currently attend a range of markets but these are mostly in Dumfries and Galloway. I’ve gained feedback that people further afield would like to also try and buy our products so that is why last week I decided to look for a market in the Glasgow area that I could hopefully attend monthly.
